Game Notes:
Umpires: HP Garcia, 1B Morrison, 2B Welke, 3B Scott
Length of game: 2:37
The rule prohibiting 8 inning no hitters from being official was created prior to the 1992 season.
This was game one of a double header; Clemens pitched a 2 hit shutout in game two.
This was Flaherty’s debut game in MLB, and the Indians clearly took full advantage of him and Young while on the base paths.
The error by Luis Rivera allowed Baerga on in the 1st with 1 out, but Lofton had already stolen 2B and 3B and came home on the play resulting in an ER.
Matt Young signed with Cleveland after the 1992 season.
